Laboratory of ultra-high frequency methods and devices

Graduated (1978) from the Radiophysics Faculty of the Kyiv State University named after T. G. Shevchenko. Studied (1980-1983) in graduate school. In 1986, he defended his candidate's thesis "Ultrasonic control of the parameters of microwave radiation in ferrites" (supervisor - associate professor V.V. Zaporozhets) Since 1972, he has been working at the university as a technician, engineer (1975-1979), junior researcher (1979 -1986), research associate (1986-1988), senior research associate (1988-2003). In 2003, he was elected to the position of head of the research laboratory of the department of quantum radiophysics. The main direction of scientific research is the interaction of ultra-high frequency electromagnetic waves with various media - ferrites, semiconductors, dielectrics. He developed the scientific principles of acoustomicrowave interaction in polycrystalline ferrites, investigated the effect of semiconductor plasma on the parameters of microwave radiation, conducted a study of the mechanism of near-field interaction of electromagnetic waves with dielectrics in the millimeter range. Conducted research on the interaction of microwave radiation with periodic dielectric structures, analogues of photonic crystals. Researches the interaction of electromagnetic oscillations of the millimeter wave range with structured composites based on nanodispersed forms of carbon. For the first time, microwave characteristics of molecular complexes with spin crossover effect and composites based on vanadium oxide were studied. The results of the study are published in the Scientific Reports journal, which is part of the Nature journal group. He heads a team engaged in the development of microwave equipment for scientific research and industry. Some of them passed state tests and were used in the national economy of Ukraine and abroad. He is the co-author of almost 150 scientific publications, including two collective monographs.
