Grygoruk Valerij Ivanovych grygoruk.valerij@knu.ua Account (profile) in scientometric databases: Laboratory of fiber optics Born in the village Predators of Starokostyantyniv district, Khmelnytskyi region. In 1973, he graduated from the Radiophysics Faculty of Kyiv University, in 1976 - postgraduate studies. In 1978–1980, he served in the ranks of the Armed Forces. At the Kyiv State University named after T. G. Shevchenko (now Kyiv National University named after T. Shevchenko) worked at the Department of Nonlinear Optics: 1976–1978 — junior researcher, 1980–1983 — researcher, 1983–1988 — assistant , in 1988–2001 — associate professor, since 2002 — head of the department of quantum radiophysics, professor, in 2002–2007 — dean of the radiophysics faculty, in 2008-2012 — vice-rector for scientific work. In 2001, he defended his doctoral thesis "Physical laws of the transformation of optical radiation in fiber optic cables and devices based on them." Field of scientific research: transformation of optical radiation in fiber optic cables and devices based on them, quantum radiophysics. He studied the regularities of the recovery of the spatial and polarization structure of the radiation that passed through a multimode optical fiber, studied the regularities of the correction of the wavefront during its inversion based on nonlinear optical phenomena, established the nature of the interaction of pulses (changes in their parameters) with optical fiber. Author of more than 270 scientific works, scientific and methodical works, 9 textbooks, "Modern Terminological Dictionary of Radio Physics" (2006), "Modern Dictionary of Optoelectronics" (2011), 7 patents of Ukraine. Scientific leader of many successfully completed research works. Vice-president of the Academy of Sciences of the Higher School of Ukraine (2010-2017). Chief Scientific Secretary of the Academy (since 2017). Performs significant public and scientific organizational work: member of the specialized academic council for the defense of candidate and doctoral theses, member of the academic council of the Faculty of Radiophysics, Electronics and Computer Systems; member of the Council of the State Fund for Fundamental Research. Awarded the Order of Merit III degree (2009), the medal "In memory of the 1500th anniversary of Kyiv" (1982), the Certificate of Honor of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine (2010), the "Petro Mohyla" Badge of the Ministry of Education and Culture of Ukraine (2010), the Award of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine (2009), the Certificate of Honor of the Ukrainian Academy of Sciences (2011), the Certificate of Honor of KNU named after T. Shevchenko. Laureate of the Yaroslav the Wise Award of the Academy of Sciences of the Higher School of Ukraine (2012), Laureate of the State Prize of Ukraine in the field of science and technology (2001), Honored Worker of Science and Technology of Ukraine (2016). |
