The main idea embedded in the work of the laboratory is to improve the training of specialists in natural sciences, in the conditions of rapid development and widespread use of computer technology. This is due to the need to eliminate the gap that exists in the training of a researcher who is unfamiliar with conducting a modern automated experiment.
A specialist must not only understand the physical nature of the studied phenomena, but also possess the necessary knowledge and skills to develop and set up all stages of the experiment using computer technology.
The preparation of the student for the performance of the qualification work includes calculations and development of the scheme of setting up the experiment, the selection of sensors for the registration of measured physical quantities, information input-output interfaces for converting the sensor signal into a digital code for further processing by a computer, as well as devices for controlling the experiment.
At the next stage, the necessary software is developed, measurements and mathematical processing of the obtained results are carried out. Thus, an automated research facility is created, and the student acquires the knowledge and skills necessary for his further work in the fields of scientific research and production. On the basis of automated research facilities, it is also possible to conduct laboratory work and create remote workshops.
Accumulated databases of physical research results can be used for modeling physical experiments, finding optimal algorithms and methods for evaluating measurement results, developing interactive animations of complex physical processes and phenomena, creating virtual simulators of laboratory work with the introduction of errors and analysis of the obtained data.
